Spin’s veins roll with the 22g needle, so I moved down in size to a 25g and then 26g needle.  It was much more comfortable for him.
Spin’s blood work indicates a functioning immune system, but he has some problems.  The tumor under his eye became necrotic and dropped off last week.  Evidence of the tapeworm infection disappeared for a couple of weeks, but has now reappeared.  Moreover, he dribbles a little urine at night, with the protein in his urine, I suspect he has a kidney infection – perhaps the protein in his urine is euglobulin – it does not sediment as rapidly as one would expect for albumin.  This was also true of Petey’s urine, hence the first test (a long time ago) was declared negative in spite of the fact that sediment had precipitated by the next day.  Culturing the urine may provide some clues as to Antibiotic sensitivity.  I will try to do this and measure specific density when I get some money.  I’m hoping to do a 4DX test on Tammy, eventually.
