Borderline CRP and high quality ESR measurement

I had my C-reactive protein levels measured and they came back as 1.027 with 0-1 being normal.  I repeated the ESR test with great success taping the syringe to a washer for the test, topfilling the 3/10 cc syringe to the 30 unit mark, and immediately allowing the top to equilibrate with atmospheric pressure.
I asked for a citrate tube for the test, and she drew it into a purple topped tube.  I was too dumb to know the difference.  Purple is EDTA.  So, it wasn’t a citrate tube, but still a very reproducible result.  The test was performed at 62F.

From what I understand, if the curve shifts to the left, then more inflammation is present (heart attack risk higher).
