Two really long walks along the riverwalk – one in the evening, and the next one beginning very early in the morning. The second walk was blessed with several bird sightings, and the most gorgeous display of what seemed to be every possible wildflower that could be grown in Texas.
Toward the end of walk, I met a woman named Sylvia. I asked her if she needed food or money. She said no. An apartment, though, at this stage of her life would probably go a long way. She’s been on the street for 14 years.
